While certainly not bringing anything new to the table, The New Mutants remains a pretty standard superhero outing. A mediocre plot with some great eerie atmosphere at least make it enjoyable enough for X-Men fans to watch as one final film in the now-dead Fox franchise.

My Top 10 Horror Movies
One of my favorite things to do during October is to watch horror movies. So, in celebration of Halloween, I decided to rank my top 10 favorite horror movies of all time. Keep in mind, this is not a ranking of movies from worst to best, but rather my own favorites that I enjoy watching around this time of year.

Ma is a showcase of its star’s acting talent, but unfortunately brings nothing new to the oversaturated genre. The result is a film with a charismatic lead that is far too talented for this predictable and retreaded horror plot.

In her first outing as director. Olivia Wilde does a serviceable job with this coming of age story with excellent performances and beautifully written story with a bond between two friends at its core.
Review: Aladdin (2019)
With outstanding performances, costumes and song and dance numbers, Aladdin proves to defy all expectations by being one of the most enjoyable films of the year so far. Although a few plot points stumble, there’s still tons of fun to be had in this live-action adaptation of another Disney classic.

Pokémon Detective Pikachu succeeds as a cash-grab attempt to welcome a new generation of younger fans to the decades-old franchise. Unfortunately, the film is only saved by an incredible performance from Ryan Reynolds, as its other performances and story fall relatively flat.
